Feed back and Peer Intervision at ENSPAC seminar

Sidsel Winther and Eva Ulstrup
Feedback amongst academics has always been an issue of some interest and content. This day Eva and Sidsel came along and gave talks, did exercises, challenged and inspired staff to think differently about their daily practice, as researchers and as teachers.

Knowledge exchange at Lund University

Fantastic opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences with an other university's teaching and learning unit. Questions such as - how do we reward good teachers - and WHY? How does one go about initiating culture change in institutions or subjects that traditionally are resistant to entering the teaching quality debate? And why do we think teaching portfolios work? How do they work? How can we use them?
And tons of other relevant and crucial questions in a time of change...

CRLL/SCUTREA Conference on Mobilities and Transitions: Learning, Institutions, Global and Social Movements

I attended a very interesting conference in Glasgow last week (June 25th – 27th 2013)
The theme was

Mobilities and Transitions: Learning, Institutions, Global and Social Movements
During the three days I listened to a number of lectures, presentations and roundtable discussions. I especially chose to go to presentations that addressed issues and perspectives on: innovative or contemporary approaches to teachers and teaching; using, researching and debating media in education; views on topical issues regarding real life transitions and gender issues.
I got a lot out of it – can’t wait to write it up for my colleagues at Roskilde Uni
The two Key notes – Mary Stuart and Patti Gouthro were SPOT ON
Big thanks especially to Tony Brown (SO inspiring), Andre Grace (right in line with my work in the men and masculinities network) , Kaela Jubas (Fantastic) , Brandi Kapell, Laurie Vermeylen and Scott McLean (super topical study about self-help books), Christine Jarvis (amazingly interesting presentation) and many others
Also a big thank you to the conference organisers for letting me paint and draw through all the sessions
So – see what you get from looking at my conference illustrations *S*
